Go back in time to Missouri in the 1850s and witness one of America's great tales by Mark Twain, with its wonderful characters Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and Becky Thatcher.

Brave Irene
Back this season by popular demand! Join the plucky, determined Irene as she courageously braves the winter weather to help her mother by delivering a dress for the duchess’ ball in this sparkling musical play by award winning playwright-composer Joan Cushing, and based on the beloved book by William Steig.

The Elves & the Shoemaker
Laugh when two merry elves arrive at a small village in the Black Forest to discover a poor, gentle shoemaker who clearly needs assistance. Their help, kindness and resourcefulness save the shoemaker from a bleak and unhappy Christmas. This CTC production has been delighting students throughout the U.S. for fifteen years!

The Frog Prince
Recall this popular tale by the Grimm Brothers about a spoiled and childish princess who promises to kiss a frog. At first she refuses to keep her promise but in time realizes the importance of honesty and honor. Her kiss breaks the spell and transforms the frog back into a handsome prince!

Laugh at Harry, a dog who loves everything except
baths. In this adaptation of Gene Zion’s popular book, his rebellious antics change him from a white dog with black spots to a black dog with white spots. Harry finds himself completely unrecognizable to his beloved family and must discover a way to prove his identity!

Be moved by this beautiful Hans Christian Andersen story in which the little mermaid who desires to walk on the land and love a prince is forced to make a difficult choice. For grades K-5.

Travel back in time to Victorian England in this rags-to-riches story of young heroine Sara Crewe, created by Frances Hodgson Burnett, who also wrote The Secret Garden.

Back this season by popular demand! Be charmed by this lively musical comedy, adapted from the popular book by Harry Allard and James Marshall, about a clever teacher who masquerades as a nasty substitute in order to teach her class just what a good and fair teacher she is.

The Nightingale
Remember the gentle Hans Christian Andersen tale in which the musical sounds of a nightingale charm an ancient Chinese emperor. The blissful kingdom, however, is disturbed when an ornate, artificial bird is introduced into the emperor’s court.  For grades K-5.
The Sleeping Beauty
See the splendor of the Renaissance in this wondrous fairy tale which pits evil against knowledge and courage. When the most unpleasant fairy in the kingdom is mistakenly not invited to the princess' christening, she casts a spell that makes the entire kingdom sleep for 100 years.
