Wonder at the re-telling of this original French fairy tale in which the kind and courageous Beauty teaches the Beast to be gentle and good and thus releases him from his beastly form.

Dear Mr. Henshaw
Become acquainted with Leigh Botts in this Newberry Award-winning story by Beverly Cleary. Author Mr. Henshaw encourages Leigh, his number one fan,  to write a journal to help him come to terms with the challenges of growing up, with his parents' recent divorce and with being the new kid in school.

The Elves & the Shoemaker
A small village near the Black Forest is the setting for this holiday comedy about the joy of giving. Two merry elves arrive at the village to discover a poor shoemaker who clearly needs assistance.  Although their help brings delightful chaos, their kindness and resourcefulness save the shoemaker from a bleak and unhappy Christmas. This CTC production has been delighting students throughout the U.S. for nearly twenty years!

The Frog Prince
Enjoy this uproarious tale by the Grimm Brothers about a vain and childish Princess who promises to kiss a frog that helps her find her lost golden ball. At first she refuses to keep her promise, but in time she realizes the importance of honesty and honor. Her kiss breaks the spell and transforms the frog into a handsome Prince.  An artful use of puppetry, dance and comedy makes this popular tale "spring" to life and its audiences "jump" for joy!

Madeline's Christmas
Meet the ever-spunky, resourceful Madeline in a musical play adapted from one of Ludwig Bemelman's captivating books. It's the night before Christmas and everyone is sick in bed with the flu except brave Madeline, who feels just fine and must take care of the eleven other little girls and Miss Clavel "in the old house in Paris all covered with vines."

Written by Maurice Sendak, the author and illustrator of Where the Wild Things Are and including music by the legendary Carole King, this lively musical follows a typical summer day in the life of several neighborhood friends. Self-proclaimed leader Rosie, the sassiest kid on her block, entertains everyone by directing and starring in an "Oscar-winning movie" based on the exciting, dramatic, funny (and slightly exaggerated) story of her life. The original recording of these songs has been called "the finest children's album ever made" and includes the very popular "Chicken Soup with Rice".

Be inspired by the thoughtful Hans Christian Andersen tale about an outcast duckling becomes a handsome swan. This heartwarming musical production about the passage from the awkwardness of adolescence to the grace of maturity has won acclaim from audiences throughout the USA and has traveled to Japan and Russia. For grades K-5.
