The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Go back in time to Missouri in 1845 in this entertaining adaptation of Mark Twain's classic to witness the childhood adventures of Tom and his best friend Huckleberry Finn as they engage in pranks, make-believe games, and showing off for Becky Thatcher.

Cay
The Cay
Adapted from Theodore Taylor's gripping novel, The Cay is the compelling journey of 11-year-old Phillip whose life is plunged into chaos when his ship is torpedoed, and he and a Caribbean man named Timothy escape on a crude raft to a deserted island. The young Virginia boy dislikes Timothy immediately because he is huge, very old and black. Blinded in the shipwreck, the boy's only chance for survival is to let Timothy teach him the skills needed for life on the cay, and soon he discovers that his companion is a wise and dignified man and that the color of one's skin does not determine a person's worth in the world.
For grades 3 and up.
Cinderella
Boys and girls alike will delight in this comic retelling of the classic story of a downtrodden girl's yearning for a better life. Cinderella dreams of attending the royal ball and of escaping for one evening the drudgery and unkindness inflicted by her stepmother and stepsisters. Cinderella is about to abandon all hope when she meets her fairy godmother who has some special magic up her sleeve! Good triumphs over evil, and the virtuous Cinderella does meet her handsome Prince, in this fun-filled play for the young and the young-at-heart.

The Elves & the Shoemaker
Laugh when two merry elves arrive at a small village in the Black Forest to discover a poor, gentle shoemaker who clearly needs assistance. Their good deeds, kindness and resourcefulness save the shoemaker and his wife from a bleak and unhappy Christmas. This hilarious CTC production has been delighting students throughout the U.S. for nearly two decades!

The Emperor and the Nightingale
Remember the gentle Hans Christian Andersen tale in which the musical sounds of a nightingale charm an ancient Chinese emperor. The blissful kingdom, however, is disturbed when an ornate, artificial bird is introduced into the emperor’s court.

Goodnight Moon

Thrill to the musical adaptation of the Margaret Wise Brown book that has been a favorite of children and their parents for over half a century.  A small bunny goes through the gentle, reassuring ritual of bedtime while details from the wonderful illustrations by Clement Hurd come to life in the great green room.  "Goodnight stars/Goodnight air/Goodnight noises everywhere!"

Hansel and Gretel
In this powerful fairy tale of courage by the Grimm Brothers, accompany two heroic children who struggle for survival in an enchanted wood. Along the way, they meet a delightful forest creature and discover a magical house made of cake and candy. When they are pitted against a wicked witch who inhabits this "delicious" cottage, they must use all their cleverness and bravery to prevail. This has been one of most popular plays in CTC's history!

Miss Nelson is Missing!
Be charmed by this lively musical comedy adapted from the popular book by Harry Allard and James Marshall. Miss Nelson is a very clever teacher with a secret. She masquerades as the mean substitute, the infamous Viola Swamp, in order to teach her unruly class just what a good and fair teacher she really is! An Old Fashioned Holiday
